Hi,
Recently someone crashed into my wing mirror and took the whole thing clean off. The garage fitted a replacement part, but it's wobbling when driving.
The mirror looks slightly pulled away:
I saw another post that says to tighten the screws behind the black triangle trim thats on the door. I have attempted this, however one screw (at the bottom) isn't there and it's instead a plastic bolt thing (sorry hard to photograph):
It's impossible to tighten this plastic thing. Because it is not screwed at the bottom it means the mirror is slightly loose and pulling upwards due to the screws only being at the top.
I thought maybe this was because the garage lost a screw or something, but looking at the aftermarket part, it looks like it is part of it:

Any help is much appreciated!
Thanks,
Wobbly Wing Mirror Pulled away from Boddy

Who supplied the new mirror ? You or the garage that fitted it ?

Re: Wobbly Wing Mirror Pulled away from Boddy
i had to replace the mirror on my sons car aswell.
the mirror is held on by two screw and a clip the presses into the door frame and the bottom lug press fits into the clip to hold the bottom part in.
i bet the garage that changed it didnt fit the bottom clip and its still attached to the old mirror !
i got a non genuine one from ebay and it fitted fine.
luckily it was a manual mirror and only cost 33 quid against 100 or more for a genuine one !
