I like my 2020 Polo Match BUT dislike the mirrors - in particular the view and range of the nearside one. As far as I know this mirror is the standard original item. Any recommendations?
Do VW offer any alternatives the the 'standard glass? (NB The mirrors on my previous Mk 5 were ideal.)

Re: Door Mirrors
I’m not aware that VW offer any alternatives to the standard glass. What made the door mirrors on your mk5 ideal compared to the ‘less than ideal’ mirrors on your current car?
I also had a previous generation (6c) Polo and can’t say I noticed any difference in the view and range of the images seen in the mirrors on that car compared to my current mk6 (AW) Polo. I’ve not owned a previous generation Polo since 2020 but from memory, compared to the current generation car, the mirrors were a very similar size with the same range of adjustments and located in the same place on the car door.
Edit: since posting the above, I happened to follow a mk5 6c Polo earlier this morning so I purposely checked out it’s door mirrors and they do look very similar in shape, the size of mirror glass (maybe slightly smaller than the current Polo?) and position of the mirror housing assembly on the car door compared to the mirrors on my AW (pre-facelift) current shape Polo. So maybe the issues you’re currently experiencing isn’t specifically a problem with the mirrors - maybe it’s more to do with your seating position relative to the position of the mirrors and the angle that you have the mirrors adjusted to. It might be worth making small adjustments to the height and fore/aft position of your seat, plus small adjustments to the mirror positioning, and hopefully you’ll find a position that make the mirrors on your mk6 as ideal as they were on your mk5.

Re: Door Mirrors
I think that the nearside mirror does not protrude outward enough away from door body, however you do make a very valid point/observation. Will try some 'readjustments'
