Gpf filters

Post by Cyclemotor2 »

Hi,
My name is David
Iam currently looking at GPF issues on 2019 vehicles, and I saw a post recently from grazuncle2 about checking the soot and ash values.
Would very much like to contact please.
Kind Regards
David

Hi...

My post on supposed GPF needing regeneration from my (un biased) VW garage is a paradox. They claimed regeneration was not under warranty yet they said they did it to fix a consistent 1400 idle speed of the engine.. the fuel consumption was normal all through the 3 weeks of it doing this high idling. When the garage did a 'regen' they didn't do it long enough (according to many reports) what's more they didn't charge me for a chargeable regen but told me they updated the firmware ( )

Anyway I got the car back and it had almost identical particulate and soot values!

The problem for me is that without a standard to check against. I don't know what is 'normal' for my polo 1.0 TSI.. so the figures are meaningless without a reference.

here is an example from my OBD11 live data

anyone else have an opinion?

This figure hardly changed after a 1.5 hr Motorway drive.. so who know what's going on..
