GTI Won’t Go Into 6th Gear (Sometimes)

Hi folks, this has happened a few times now where I’m driving on a dual carriage way or motorway where speed limit is 70 and my polo GTI won’t go into 6th gear just stays in 5th. Manually moving into 6th it drops back down within seconds only way to solve it is to put it in manual.

I notice your mileage is 46K miles. Have you had the DSG serviced? It's due at 40K miles, that may help.

Yeah I made the dealer carry out a DSG service when I purchased it from them as I neglected to check that on my previous car and was given a DSG, Transmission and Front Diff service all in one go out of the "blue" (I should have researched/known better at the time but hey ho)
