DRL not working

Hi

Have a 2021 UK POLO. Following an accident with an animal (which survived!) the left hand side Fog lamp with LED DLR light needed to be replaced. We have replaced with a unit sourced from Eurocarparts,

Fitment etc is spot on. Fog light work but the DRL is not illuminating. No fault light on dashboard.

Are these lights simply plug and play or need re-coding or am I missing something altogether. There is very little info out there that I can see.
