1.2 tsi - Fault code P0107

Post by adencool »

Hi all,

I have a 2011 1.2 TSI Polo with the CBGA/B engine.

Just over a month ago, the timing chain guides snapped, so I had them replaced.

While the car was at the garage, they told me the catalytic converter had failed — but quoted £1.1k just for the part. I noticed GSF sell these for around £200, so I ended up replacing it myself.

However, I’m still getting two recurring fault codes:

P0107 – Manifold pressure sensor (MAP) low input

P0172 – System too rich (Bank 1)

To try and fix this, I’ve already replaced the MAF sensor and the pre-cat lambda sensor myself.

I’m kind of at my wits’ end now, and struggling to find anyone who can look at the car within the next few weeks. I really need it sorted by 14/05, as I’ve got a driving test that day — and I can’t take the test with engine lights on.

Does anyone have any advice or ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Hi, those distinctive letters don't exist for a 2011 VW 1.2 TSI engine. 🤷‍♂️
