1.2 TDI Bluemotion - noisy fuel pump

Hi,
I have a 2011 1.2 TDI BlueMotion, and there’s a constant noise that’s been bothering me. The noise can be heard starting at the 8-second mark in the video.

My mechanic told me it’s the fuel pump and that in some cars, they can be a bit noisy. However, the noise is actually very constant and annoying.

Is this really the expected noise level for the 1.2 TDI version? Is there anything I can do to make it quieter?
