EU5 (7MG) vs EU5 Plus (7MJ)

Hi, apart from the engine control unit, is there actually a difference between EU5 (7MG) and EU5 Plus (7MJ)? I don't want to comply with a newer standard or anything like that, I just want to get a new engine control unit (4HV vs 7GV). The pin assignment looks the same and I couldn't find any other differences between the components.

But I didn't want to just go out and buy a new engine control unit and have VW program it if it doesn't work afterwards
