Bumperlip

Post by RS2015 »

Hi everyone,

I have a question about the lower front bumper mounting on my 2015 Volkswagen Polo BlueMotion (Polo 6R facelift).

While inspecting the underside of the front bumper, I noticed something that confused me. There are three mounting holes in the lower bumper lip that appear to line up with mounting points on the radiator support (plastic front carrier). However:

- The two outer ones are only a few millimeters off from the mounting points.
- The middle one is about ~1 cm lower than the mounting point behind it.

The bumper itself fits perfectly:
- side guides are solid
- outer mounting points are secured
- panel gaps look normal
- no visible damage or stress in the plastic

The mounting holes also look clean (no tearing or deformation), which made me wonder if those screws were never installed or if this is just a design/tolerance thing.

My question:
Is it normal on the Polo 6R / BlueMotion for the middle lower bumper mounting holes not to align perfectly with the radiator support? Or should there normally be screws in those three center positions?

Just trying to figure out if this is factory normal or if something might have been removed at some point.

Thanks!
