I've lost the Little White Globe on the Infotainment Screen

Post by Ian T »

Recently I noticed that the Nav wasn't showing or announcing traffic and then I realised that I've lost the Little White Globe on the Infotainment Screen.

I have spent hours trying to get it connected again and many 'soft' re-starts

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated

Many thanks in anticipation

It could be there’s an issue with VW’s servers - periodically there are posts on other VW forums about server connection issues / the servers being down, resulting in the loss of certain functions such as sat nav until the servers are back online.

Also worth checking your security settings if you’ve not already done so. I think the settings need to be set for maximum data sharing.

I’d check the privacy/data-sharing settings first, as that globe usually disappears when the car loses online services access. If those settings look fine, it’s probably just a temporary VW server issue rather than anything wrong with the infotainment unit.kaputter bildschirm
