What front components have you got?

Post by sylonien »

I know this is suppose to be under the ICE section, but I wanna address this topic specifically for the new Polo (9N).

Anyway, I was wondering what you guys have at the front doors? What speakers I mean? 'cos I can't live with the bog standard VWs forever. Need some feedback and recommendations.

Many thanks.

MB Quart compo-set.

Lovely set of speakers, the cross-over faders are awsome.

Costed € 250,-

Sounds expensive, but good.

Can't afford. I'm thinking of Infinity's or JBLs maybe?

Looking in to changing the standard speakers as well but not to sure on the size I need (front and rear) and whether I will need to buy some speaker mounts?

Can any body help?

They are the same size on the front and rear, 6 1/2" (16,5cm). You will need some speaker mounts because the hole on the door doesn't have enough deep.

Cheers that's great!
I knew I could not rely on my local dealer, they said it would probably be 13cm for the rear.

Probably? LOL When I went to my local dealers they couldn't even say what size were the front speakers.
