6J Ibiza. BCM Max Charisma Button Retrofit

Hi all,
I am hoping for some help regarding adding a "charisma" (sport) button to my 2010 AWD 6J Ibiza.
I already have a T6 BCM max, I am currently in the process of retrofitting EMPS from an early S1. I have the column wired up and responding, and have confirmed it has charisma steering profile capability.
Is the only way to get charisma mode working through having DCC and a J250 module? Or through a LIN-bus style with a drive select button on a wheel?
Any help would be much appreciated.
