I know that this has been on here for quite a while but could someone just let me know is it possible to run wires from the inside cabin to the engine? If so how many wires can I run and where abouts are these holes?
Secondly what is the down side to drilling holes? I know corrosion but what else?
Very boring I know but.... (again)
Of course you can mate.
But in order for me/us to tell you where the "holes" are, I'll need to know what model you have first. There will be surely holes already in the car with wires running between them 'cos the cabin will need to have access to the engine compartment for various things.
Drilling holes? Hmm well I think you mentioned it, but I think you can get something to protect it from corrosion. I've heard about some "zinc" or something like that.

Well i guess that it's a 9n because it's written in the "New Polo" section and their name is Polo-03 which is another hint.
If your car is RHD look in the passenger footwell, you'll see a grommet with a couple of wires coming through. You can poke them through the hole or make another hole through the grommet for your wire.

Well Scorpio, that was a close one then! I'm pretty sure like SiDaBa said, there is a grommet/wire underneath the passenger side, well underneath/behind the glovebox bit.
Ah.... about a month or two ago I was asking the same question, really confused about all this. But now I know!
He he, anyway mate, I'll try and see if I can take some pictures tomorrow when it's daylight or something - it's like 3AM in the morning right now.
