HL2 Progress *may contain spoilers*

Post by Si_GTi »

Hi everyone,

Well, we've had Doom 3 and GTA San Andreas, so now: Half Life 2!

I was wondering how far everyone's got with it? I'm in Ravenholme, being scared witless by fast zombies that bound and leap about all over the shop. Got no shotgun ammo either :( still, the gravity gun is a larf-a-minute against shuffling slow regular zombies :D

A mate of mine has completed it within 20 (gameplay) hours of starting it

How 'bout everyone else?

I try to get a couple of hours every other day and i'm currently driving along the coast in an offroad buggy. *just gone over a bridge with train tracks on it*

Its a wonder i haven't dropped dead from a heartattack with some of the zombies!
I love the gravity gun too, pity you can't pick dead bodies up with it though..i wanna splat them against things :-D

Those ant lions are right tough little things, i prefer to run away in a panic than stand and fight lol.

*now i have played this game i'm sure i will go out and blow someones head off with a shotgun or maybe chop them in half with a saw blade... *

Played for a bit last night and reached the coastal path before nap time - Metz, have you noticed that the buggy's engine note is exactly the same as Steve McQueen's Mustang in Bullit? 8)

Done the bit with the lighthouse...walked along the cliff path..now i'm just before the prison in a big yard with a helicopter chasing me and a handfull of ant lions by my side.

I'm on Entanglement, it's the chapter after the prison (Nova Prospekt)

The prison is fun, especially getting the antlions to attack the Combine!

Great game HL2, though it's screwing my coursework schedule.

Anyone else think HL2 aint as good as HL?

I think its a fantastic game but left me feeling unfurfilled.

Still the end bit is great with the big robots and your "upgraded" gravity gun :P

Combine bowling!! 8) :D

It was... yeah, unfulfilling might cover it. Still. Good eh? Now I need my proposed bigger better PC to play it without the pauses and stutters (it wasn't that bad)...

i was lucky my boss was on holiday in nz when hl2 came out, cos i played the whole day at work without thinking

"oh i'll just see what its like"

s**t its 7pm, going home...

anyways; i'm past the coast road some where and i've kinda lost interest.

i only got hl2 for cs: source

hl death match is laggy and dissapointing, you can shoot entire smg clips into someone and they not die

hl2 is a lot like hl - just looks prettier, feels like the same game. no near impossible jump challenges thank god...

cs:source on the other hand, is ace. look for snoochie boochies in sex, drugs and counterstrike...

Until Tesco sort out my Internet access I'm not playing CS:S. When I was at Uni I played quite a bit on the old 1.5, but lost out when I left Uni and RESNET behind, so I haven't played online since. Still, the remaining Internet-active guys from my old Uni clan are reforming, so its gonna be ace when I get back into it. Can't wait! CS rocks 8)
