Headlamp bulb type for 9N Polo?

Well, a full xenon conversion is out of the question for me right now (technically and finacially ) so I'm looking into some Philips Vision Plus bulbs or something similar. (BTW which bulbs do you recommend? Is Vision Plus a good choice?)

So my question is very simple - and please forgive my ignorance!: what bulb type is fitted to the new Polo? H1, H4, H7 etc.

For a 4000K Blue/White light, go for Philips Blue Vision bulbs

For 50% more light and up to 20m more distance, go for the vision plus.

Ok, now lets see (me being daft again) - the blue/white Philips Blue Vision...are not as 'strong' as the Vision Plus? Can't I have both - 50% light, 20m more in distance AND the blue/white glow? ...and what are they H1, H4, H7... (they only mention H7 bulbs in the manual...and according to it, should only be fitted by a VW dealer). Would these bulbs fit in my 9N - I had a look @ the one's in the car...and the hole that the bulb fits through seems awfully small

IIRC, the Blue Vision bulbs are a little brighter than the standard bulbs, but are MUCH whiter... The Vision Plus (imho) are about the same colour as standard, but are 50% brighter.

I don't think you can have both white and bright (at the moment!)

Sorry, but I don't know what type of bulbs your car takes.

I had enough trouble trying to sort bulbs out for mine!

Oh, BTW, I was meaning to put a post about bulbs in the Announcement section:

What about GLARE when using Vision Plus? Is it a problem or is the light well-distributed with a safe cut-off - more to the point, do people flash their high beams at you at night because of your new headlights?

I sourced some Philips Blue Vision at a local auto electrical shop - for around £4.20 incl. each (bargain or not?). They also said that it's the same bulbs that BMW uses on their lower range models - this true or not? Oh and another thing - H7's right????

(On Powerbulb's site, on the Philips Vision Plus page - they mention that it's UV resitant Cut Quarts safe to use with plastic lenses - is this something I should be concerned about - will they be ok to use on my car? - both the Blue Vision and Vision Plus??)
