Programable windows?

Since the low battery I got from leaving my GTi for one week... I noted that today, the windows are not working the same as they did prior to the battery going flat.
The left window now goes up and down, but does not continue to go right down or up as it did before. It will only move if the button is held down basically.
And, although the motor is working in the drivers window, the window is not moving at all! It remains closed whether I press the button for up or down.
So, somehow, the flat battery condition has wiped the window program!!!
Anyone know how to restore the original programmed window settings

ok well restoring the 'one touch' to the passenger window is easy,
hold the 'down' button until the window opens, then hold the button for a further 5 seconds or so, then shut the window and hold it closed on the button for about another 5 seconds.
Mine stops working like this occasionally, completely at random! VW never reset it when they've disconnected the battery either...
as for the drivers window I have no idea, sorry.
although my drivers window did something odd recently - you know the safety roll-back thing (where the window is closing and finds something in the way (head / fingers etc) and opens up a bit again)? mine did it all by itself a few times!
Yeah - mindless

Mine also did weird things previous, like stopping three inches from closed - not nice to lean your right arm on

Now, can't even do that! Will try the passenger window top though - cheers

Might be less, but I always do it for 10.
The windows loose their 1 touch if the battery gets disconnected.
Josh said this when he had his GTI.

Yep, this worked a treat! Automatic settings restored. Let's hope my battery is not on it's way out. How long can a Polo GTi sit without starting before it runs down the battery? Anyone know? I left mine for only 1 week and it was flat, although the engine turned over, there was no t enough in to make it run
And, my drivers window was just stuck - the motor was not strong enough to bring it down. Last time I washed it, the wash&wax must have glued it up. Anyway, a fews thumps on the glass and it wound down okay
