I've had my 6C SEL 1.2 TSI for 5 weeks now and have started to notice a droning/resonating noise from the rear. The car has the standard alloys with Dunlop Sport Maxx tyres. My new Polo SEL is one of the quietest cars I've had - you can barely hear the engine. However, I do notice tyre noise on anything other than smooth tarmac.

I've made a couple of changes on my 15-reg Polo (tear wipe and enabling the auto-lock menu option in Composition Media Car menu) but it required the latest beta of VCDS (15.3.0). It seems as stable as the release version, so maybe worth a try?
