Re: What did you and your Polo do today?
Had the GTI in for service today. DSG Jerkiness in 3>2 gear changes: They took a look on the 3>2 jerkiness and found no faults. They also advised against resetting the mechatronic unit, as it was "still adapting to my driving style" On my way to work afterwards as soon as a started ...

Re: GTI gearbox jerkiness from auto gear change 3>2
Fast forward today
Had a technician take a ride with me as passenger, the car didn't jolt of course. But he listened and told me the old song of how the DSG6 is "intelligent" and supposedly learns and adapts to you driving style.

Re: GTI gearbox jerkiness from auto gear change 3>2
Just a quick update. Car's been in today. At the request of VW, the dealer checked the gearbox oil level (was OK) carried out a basic setting of the mechatronics unit and an adaptation test drive. The car now drives OK, fingers crossed. Still smooth after the mechatronic reset? Mines booked in tomo...

Re: GTI gearbox jerkiness from auto gear change 3>2
Thankfully someone else has the EXACT same experience as me! I was super worried my gearbox had been damaged from my day1 launches   Im in the "thrash it from day one" camp when it comes to breaking in cars. So I didn't baby it the first few hundred km. Always let it heat up...

Re: What did you and your Polo do today?
If it is not too much effort then I would appreciate taking a look at an example of what is involved by way of a guide. Absolutely, no problem. Here is a step by step guide on how to change the skins. Each photo has a small description underneath. It goes without saying that this is on your own res...

Re: What did you and your Polo do today?
Fiddled around with OBDeleven tonight.. made a couple of changes to my AID. I really like version 1, but 2 and 4 are good as well. The standard red version 3 is ugly. Changed speedo final value to a more reasonable 260, rather than the stock 280. (There’s even a 300 version  :| ) I also co...

Re: New GTI + delivery
Yea reading here kind of put me off, by the time it gets here the mk8 Golf GTI might be available! Sure, does the £15.000 also fall on your doorstep in the meantime?! You can’t compare the Polo GTI to the Golf GTI. You can. When you do, the Golf looks illogically expensive. Most of the Golf's 0-62m...

Pretty sure it’s the average, as discussed above.Polovivo wrote:It acts as an indicator for lowest fuel consumption recorded per trip. Similar to the economy indicator found on the BMW's.
Mine certainly moves like an average and not like a lowest consumption.

Re: Any modified Polo's???
I have to say I do like the look of that! You've obviously put a lot of time and effort into getting to that stage. Very well done! You should submit it to VW and suggest this is what the new Polo GTI TCR should look like :D If they decide to build one! :) I must be getting old.. but each to his ow...

Beam length (LEDs) these shine a little short no!?
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190711/e41ba973ea03a8ae477bf31bb3dca979.jpg Would you agree that these shine a little short? It basically feels like you’re driving into the dark abyss at 110. Each stripe is 5 meters long, and they’re spaced 10 meters apart, so I’m guessing these lights shine no ...
