Now what, is it likely to be transported to the UK or will it be locked up at the port?

Yep, use high temp grease on the hubs on the wifes A1, and will do the same on the GTi when it arrives. Shocking how quickly yours have started to corrode, but at least you've caught it. MJ

Looking at a Golf Forum, their engine cover will fit the Polo Gti engine however its in 2 parts and there were issues with the lower part becoming loose, dropping down and fowling the engine - This has totally put me off the idea as I've done a bit of research, check out this link: https://www.vwroc...

Doesn't the new model come with electronic suspension that adjusts via drive select. Not sure what would happen ripping that out, may need to disable warnings in VCDS as a guess....
