Re: are 6R and 6C mud flaps the same
Just to make it interesting there are also two versions, 'Long & short' Long ones are still reasonably easy to get. Short ones, not so much. There's a reason for that.... they look like you've stuck a set of rowing oars to your wheel arches! I've got a set of short ones fitted though, and have ...

Routing of cable through top of A pillar
I'm looking to hard wire my dashcam in, and the only aspect of this I'm a little wary of is how to get the cable from the roof lining at the top to the door rubber via the A pillar. I can pull the top of the plastic trim out a little nearest the door rubber, however the side near the front windscree...

Cooling fan eager to start
Hi, I've recently got a 1.4 TDI 6C (2016) - which seems fine apart from one odd thing. The cooling fan seems to be getting triggered on occasions when it really shouldn't. It doesn't happen all the time, but there have been several occasions when it's been quite cold outside (3 or 4 deg C), I've sta...

Re: Spiring noise when turning steering
That happened on an older Seat Ibiza I had, which turned out to be a broken suspension spring.

Re: VW Sat nav headunits
Any idea where the VW head units get their traffic from (in terms of data provider)? I wouldn't underestimate the quality of the TomTom traffic, which is generally regarded as the best. The best compromise might be to install the TomTom Go Mobile app on your phone and use CarPlay (if you can). You'l...

Hard wiring sat nav
I'm looking to hard wire my TomTom Go into my dash, and was looking for some advice. Firstly - cable routing. My Polo 6C is right hand drive, and I've managed to remove the side panel of the dashboard to reveal access to the fuse box and a handy earth point. However I can't fathom how to get the cab...
