Our Tiguan came with a healthy equipment list, but the dealer did not provide a lot of useful accessories. I found the following accessories useful and sourced them from Aliexpress. I like to call them Minimal Functional Accessories (MFA)

My Father's Tiguan 2.0 TDI

Hello everyone! I've wanted to create a thread for my father's Tiguan 2.0 TDI which has slowly but steadily seen its share of OEM upgrades! My father bought this Indium Grey Tiguan in December 2019, and it was assembled in the Aurangabad, India plant sometime in June 2019. The ideas, inspiration and ...

Re: Fluidicjoy's Polo 6R 1.0 TSI

Are you planning on HBA in your car? Should be possible with the 7E0 BCM Max, 7E0 stalks and the correct installation.

Yes sir, I seem to have developed the HBA itch  . HBA seemed like a very useful feature, and plenty of rental cars in the US had the feature and it worked brilliantly ...

The Indian spec Polo 6R in its later years featured a factory fitted auto-dimming IRVM. I stumbled upon a Frameless Auto-Dimming IRVM on Ebay and picked it up at a mouth-watering price. Turns out that these come in quite a few variants with a few ...

Polo 6R 1.0 TSI Audi Air Intake Box

2020-VW-Polo-1.0-TSI-engine.jpg

The sporty nature of the EA 211 1.0 TSI is the real reason we got the ageing Polo in 2020, and it’s a real beast of an engine. It’s crazy how something so tiny makes so much power and pulls so delightfully. For those who like to appreciate what’s under the hood ...

You can still disable kessy for one cycle by pressing lock on the fob, and touching the door handle sensor for 'lock'.

This feature has an important implication as well. It adds another layer of safety by disabling kessy temporarily, and preventing car theft. I liked this feature very much ...

Adding Spring Loaded Grab Handles

Thanks to cost cutting, some markets don't get grab-handles with damper beads :x

Dampers for Roof.jpeg

Fortunately, these dampers can be retrofitted and this is fairly well documented on Team-BHP.

Polo 6R A-Pillar with Tweeters

Since I had a Discover Media Head-Unit, I wanted to improve the sound signature a little bit and found a few pairs of A-pillar tweeters. It is fairly easy to find such tweeters on Aliexpress as well, and the quality of plastics is quite similar to the European ones.

New Hazard Warning Triangle Kit

The stock hazard warning kit in the Polo 6R is built well, but slightly on the bulkier side and can take up some space in the boot and be a nuisance in the event you really need it and have a packed boot. Many Polo owners worldwide have upgraded to a slightly more premium hazard warning triangle kit ...

Re: Patil's T-roc 2020 1.5Tsi evo+Dsg7 RHD

From the combined experiences of me and a few of my friends who have purchased TPMS kits, sensors from Aliexpress, there are quite a few knockoff sensors on Aliexpress, which are nearly 1:1 in appearance to an original TPMS sensor. Replica sensors have every line of text you'd expect on an original ...

Re: Patil's T-roc 2020 1.5Tsi evo+Dsg7 RHD

Congratulations on your car doctor! The Indium Grey is a lovely shade. Welcome to the MQB Club! The T-Roc is a lovely car and my parents spent quite a lot of time considering this car, but sadly we missed out on it. I am sure you will fully equip this vehicle to the brim. If I had to guess, MIB 2.5 ...
