Does anyone know why the update notification (IE. the circle top left of the screen that looks to show the progress) when applying an update, is sometimes blue (as above) and sometime red (as in the case of my apparent "stuck" update)???

Looking at your last photo, you have "1" update waiting to be applied. Try (as suggested a few posts back) swiping down from the top of the infotainment screen and then swiping left (or right, depending on your viewpoint) and it should be there waiting for you. Good luck. PS. I've NEVER s...

I've got a 2022 facelift GTI and the door mirrors demist within a few seconds. The rear screen is about average time wise compared to my last several cars. Though I would agree with SRGTD's comment about keeping the inside of the rear screen clean.
