Re: Polo 6R - Useful Part Numbers

Thank you for the help. Ahh that’s a bummer, I found a black glovebox for cheap and thought to make the whole dash black :|

Re: Polo 6R - Useful Part Numbers

1.Hi, does anybody know the part number for this beige trim piece? It’s also available in black which is what I’m looking for. I checked in ifinterface but it shows only the smaller fuse box door(you can see it’s a separate piece) in the diagram, so I’m asking here. Is this even removable? Edit- 2. ...

Re: Fog lights and trunk light problem

The trunk light doesn't work anymore, I took it out and it didn't burn out
Were you able to solve this? I have the same problem, everything is fine but bulb doesn’t light up. I’ve been able to narrow it down to a broken wire or the microswitch, but haven’t been able to investigate further.

Re: Fog light wires thickness and power rating

The speed in these sections is 40-60kmph, so I was under the impression it is reasonable. Of course on regular 4+ lane highways it is not useful. Thanks for the pointers. There is a huge flood of cheap leds in the markets, and since MOT tests don’t happen here, people use them without consequence. I...

Re: Fog light wires thickness and power rating

Thanks for the replies and concerns. I should’ve provided more context. I was intrigued and forgot little details like physical limitations of the housings. Where I reside, fog is mythical and foglights only purpose is for SCL, otherwise they’re just there to look pretty. Since I travel a lot throug...

Fog light wires thickness and power rating

My car has halogen H8 35W bulbs in fog lamps as standard. I swapped the headlights to Phillips xtremevision and they’re great, but totally drown out the weak fog lamps. Tried led bulbs too but they’re only 15W so they too were overpowered by the headlights. Incidentally, I saw on youtube some guy wi...

Re: Introducing my Lightning McQueen LM95

Also in addition to existing angled aux cable got this angled USB cable. It is 9" odd long. So iPhone can be put upside down in compartment under climate control. Just a precaution to avoid any damage. One of the best upgrades. In this day and age, CarPlay/android auto is a must. Could you sha...

Re: Trunk light refuses to work

i think it is due to broken latch micro switch. Vw seems to have issues with micro switches, i wish they made it easily serviceable, but they like their euros You also have a diode where you put the bulb, bud i doubt it failed. You can check it I too thought the same, even replaced the diode it did...

Trunk light refuses to work

Hi, I own a vento and suddenly my trunk open light is not working. The bulb is okay but it is not lighting up. I have used different bulbs also. The socket wire is good, I can see voltage at it. But when bulb is connected, trunk open warning light is not showing. When bulb is disconnected, trunk ope...
