would the Gti beat it top end though??

The 16v would get roasted top end, it hits the revlimiter at 128

whereas i assume the gti would plough on to like 135+ ?

it was my car that dusted jons Gti

16.1 from your gti thats the fastest 1/4 ive ever seen one do! Waht strip was it at?

Best ive seen them do is like 16.5's

ive had about 3 15.9s, the cars just got derestricted airbox and a rudeboy powerflow cat back mate, so not exactly "tuned up"

You coming to Gti festival this weekend?

Ill give you a race if you want

Hey jezmk4 how come the mk4 16v gets 15.9s and the gti cant even get close to that.
i would of thought the Gti would of beating the 16v, but it seems to be the other way. how can this be????

i reackon a mk4 16v with an 8v's gear box in would be quicker than a regular 16v's box

The 16v 'box suits it very well though, I'm not sure that the taller gearing on the 1.4 8v 'box would enable you to make the most of the engine at all.

Their gay?

no idea, im just saying what i see

maybe all Gti drivers feet muscles go stiff from the cold as thier too busy poncing about with their "climate control?"

and a 16v with an 8v box would be slower, the ratios are taller, as the engine doesnt rev as high

Mike has found that his 16v has got an 8v box, and its really slow like 16.5 1/4
