personally I'd get the mk4 golf GTI.

anyhow, jez's 15.9 is insanely quick - I haven't seen times that come close! and your 16.1 is uber-fast too. my mate in a del sol VTI struggles to break 16 secs and it's 165bhp :shock: and he's not a bad driver either!

when you compare your times, they are very quick 1/4 miles compared to average runs in some higher performance cars (like the CTR for instance - many don't get below 15.5 from what I see).

you both must be very good 1/4 mile drivers.

so if jez is running 116bhp compared to a gti with 125bhp, then it looks pretty neck-a-neck performance wise. how much fatter is the mk5 gti? I would say a good 100kg?

cheers mate, cant wait for the next 1/4 mile day hoping for 15s, should have my de-cat by then.. 15.9 for a 1.4,16v is f*cking ace,wouldn't mind those times. :D

I want a 15.7, but i doubt it, another 15.9 will see me happy

i should easily get some 15.9s this weekend, have got lower gearing now
