Im an aguementive person and after being stopped so many times, its frustrating at times when it keeps happening.

You ever been to London and dealt with any Police down here?

They make ALOT of stuff up i can tell you that now.
Like bstardchild says, just make notes of how they grabbed your keys and mobile and not given valid reason to do so.

They shouldnt be stopping you at 1am in London... as we have quite a busy night life and people are always going to be driving around in the early hours. Just tell them where you are going and coming from. Where abouts in London are you?
They just want to nick ppl so dont give them a reason to take it further. When you say they make things up... do they fabricate their notes? :?

Im beginning to hate the police again, f**k faces...! I was at work on friday right and outside we have a pay and display parking area. I watched as the Parking Warden put 7 parking tickets onto people's cars without waiting a second for them to come back. 2 of the people came back with change for the machine and were not pleased!!

I thought ah its just bad luck, then i heard the traffic warden say "im on a roll at grey street, this should make up for tomorrow." I was like hmm wtf, went to work today and the whole of grey street is blocked off for a festival so there was no parking all day, 8.00am til 8.00PM...

He was making up numbers for tomorrow when he wouldnt be able to...

f*****g BENT Warden or what?

does sound like they're being a bit dodgy though

i like the bit about them not wanting to be recorded..... oh.... whys that then... are you suggesting you're going to do something illegal or outside of your lawful powers that you dont want a permanent log made of?

"confiscating" your keys and phone like that is tantamount to unlawful imprisonment (effectively holding you somewhere under the duress of needing to get your keys back / continue your journey) and theft... i'd like to hear their reasons for it.

You deserved all three of them - cameras don't lie - you jumped the lights and by a good margin too to set the camera off
Camera's can lie - trust me!

What set the camera off was that i stopped just over the line - did not drive intentionally through it.

I have seen that done in all fairness to Dino, the bloke I saw had stopped but was over the line hence the camera going off, although he did not carry on going.

This makes me glad that Stirling has no speed cams or traffic light cams.

Although my friend got done for wreckless driving for revving his car on a busy street.

this is when ppl say "dont they have nothing better to do"
" catch some real criminals"

Obviously they're too dumb to catch some real criminal & have nothing better to do other than get fat eating donuts.

Hope it works out for you!!

Then wouldnt the camera have taken a pic of the top of his car instead of the number plate?

One time I come back from bball and had a lazy leg and kept coming off the brakes... and rolled over the line, then some copper on a bike told me not to go forward otherwise he'll give me a ticket.
I just started laughing... imagine him stopping all traffic just to issue me a ticket lmao

Nope the camera is set back from the lights quite far.

I went to court because of this and lost as the judge said - sorry your car is over the white line.

I've been pulled over a few times mostly for "just a check" (I used to work weird shifts). If you get pulled over, turn the engine off, stay in the car, wind your window down and put your keys somewhere in plain sight, but not neccessarily where they can be grabbed through the open window easily. Stay calm, be polite, don't bull themand generally speaking, you'll be fine.

A few years ago, when I was living up in Hull, I was giving a colleague a lift home and had to go through the Orchard Park estate (not a very nice place). I got pulled over "Just for a check".

I kept the engine running, wound the window a few inches down and when asked to get out of the car, politely declined, explained I wasn't local and why I was there. I said I'd be happy to follow him to a better area if he wanted me to get out of the car, but not there. I gave him my license, he ran a couple of checks found out I wasn't likely to be up to anthing. He brought my license back, said I'd done the right thing, and followed me off the estate.

Generally speaking, if you're right with them, they'll be right with you.

Wow dino, that's really taking the mike that is - doesnt the thing record your speed etc? (there's a line saying "00" there) Its not like you're even blocking the pedestrian crossing let alone any other part of the road.... Sure there's enough of us who have been caught a bit by surprise by unfamiliar lights and pulled up sharpish, ending in that position.. it can even be seen that you've got your brakes on. Shouldn't the nobcheese in the Xsara have come in for more stick???

Over reliance on mechanised enforcement even to the point of implicitly trusting it's judgement even against under-oath testimony and a quite obvious laying out of the facts in the picture. I don't recall "stopping over the line" being an enormous, points-on-the-license offense before.

Many speed traps have been shown to be badly off-calibration - (nicely, there was a fiasco in the last few weeks where the most common laser gun in the country was found to be INCREDIBLY unreliable under test, recording a stationary car as doing 25, a truck doing 30 as being over it's 56mph limiter, etc.... and that drivers caught by them "might" be up for compensation. Naturally enough, this story was buried on page 7 of the Metro, where hardly anyone will take any notice of it.

Wouldn't surprise me if the red light camera was out of alignment and copping anyone who merely stopped a few cm out of line, rather than those who went a few metres through at speed. Whether it was badly (or even maliciously) installed, or just got knocked by something and never noticed/corrected, who knows?

PS I don't care how nice the police are when i'm stopped - generally they have been very civil - it's just the harrassment value of getting pulled for nothing in particular or to ease their boredom on a long, empty shift. It always seems to happen when i'm actually en route and don't want to waste any time over it (staring down 90 miles of motorway after leaving my dads at 11pm, coming back from work at 4am..) rather than just poodling about... Go stake out a high risk part of town and keep an eye out for large, fast motors or vans, you nobs, dont bother some guy doing 30.5mph down an empty 30 street in an obviously unfit-for-robbin' car.

Is that the first picture or the second?

Two pictures have to be taken to show movement after the light changes in order to prove the offence

ie

and then
