Boot Light - 03 Tdi Sport

Post by Buzby »

I've got no light in the boot, but I came across a connector - 2pin and quite thin, underneath the trim in the boot on the drivers side. I've put the multimeter on it and it goes from 12v unlocked to 10v locked.. is this a connector for a boot light... :?:

This is the one. Instead of installinh the OEM lamp which is very dim, try connecting a pc's cool cathode light. Much more light strength, and very beautifull.

Mine didn't come even with a connector... I bouth my light for 10€ (+-6£) from my local dealer. Multiply that by thousands of cars and you'll see a global reduction in the cost of the cars. :P

From SE spec (I think) or Sport Spec upwards you got a boot light which is why it's so strange you didn't have one buzby.

Those of you with specs lower than this there will be no wiring there for you, you'll have to find your own way of hooking it up.

Christmas decorations should have been taken down by now btw :P
only kidding

I've allready have one on my car (stock = no light). I went to my local audio dealer and he did it at the same time he was finishing my alarm install. :P
