its the 1 litre people who are really impressing me right now.

I remember my cousin with a 1 litre polo.... it can be quite punchy theres no denial there.

These days new cars have the style but have lost the performance for what they are worth.

too much driving aid......

If the conditions and surroundings make it unsafe to do 30mph or more - then yes, I would do less than 30mph, regardless of what day of the week it is.

In a 30, I go no faster than 30.
In a 40, I go no faster than 40.
In a 50, I go no faster than 50.
NSL, I drive to the conditions and the limitations of myself and my vehicle.

I am a trained advanced motorist (RoSPA Gold standard) - Therefore, provably a highly skilled driver.
I am a professional driver, coverring in excess of 40,000 miles a year in a variety of vehicles, from an electric motorcycle to powerful saloons to XLWB Mercedes Benz Sprinters, all over the UK, in any weather conditions.
In 7 years of driving, I have been involved in 1 accident (car park shunt).
In that same time, I have never been convicted for a motoring offence.

But all this counts for nothing, because I must be a really bad driver if I can't even race someone away from the lights eh?

Its not a question of you being a bad or a good driver omicron.

And I dont believe for a second you never break speed limits - especially if you drive a Merc Sprinter van.

If drag racing from traffic lights isnt your thing, then it was kinda pointless posting in this threat at all - and perhaps in that sense it would be wise to remember "if you got nothing good to say, say nothing at all".

In my opinion drag racing from the lights is cool (though as previously stated wreckless driving isnt) and people who think other wise I have to half admire for controlling their natural urge for competition and half give my sympathy to because they're boring old bastards who have got too bogged down by being old and sensible.

But thats just my opinion.

Dear 13twelve.

What you do with your speed limits is up to you. But personally you can shove what you said where the sun don't shine.

I don't give a crap about the speed limit.

My Forum question is "WHAT CARS HAVE YOU PIPPED AT THE LIGHTS???"

Not what speed limit you can go when you see the signs.

I'm also an trained advanced Driver. But unlike some drivers I use speed with common Sense. If its safe to go its good to go. If I'm on the motorway I will use higher speeds to get me to places quicker. I don't have any driving convictions. I havent had a shunt yet (Unlike some who have mishaps in the CAR PARK! What speed was you going at I have no idea but it couldnt have been pretty fast.

I'm sure you've got a bottomless list of driving mercedes sprinter vans such petite considering I can drive HGVs. I didnt become a car nut for no reason.

Use speed where needed but use speed with common sense.

When the Road says 30 mph, I'm refering to those who travel at 20 mph on a clear road on a sunday morning. Last Time I checked the police could stop you for that for holding up traffic!.

As one said..... Borrrriiinnnggg..... if you don't like what you read in this forum don't write in it..... simple.... just click on the mouse and go somewhere else.

I'm not getting into the argument here, but, I haven't raced from the lights but regularly travel at high speed.

Just wanted to say we're not all "sunday drivers" for not racing from the lights :D

 Just wanted to say we don't like driving slow mate

I love speed, just don't really do it from the lights, I'd find it funnier to rev, let them speed off and me just pull off slowly

That would p*** them off a bit.
