first aid kit???

Post by Polo-03 »

I can remember someone saying that there is a place for a first aid kit. Where abouts is it? I have searched everywhere and cant find a good place for it! Any good ideas?

I'm sure it's on the left hand side of the boot near the tail light.

There is a rubber strap and a small protruding piece of metal below it, that's the place I'm sure. I use it to hold a litre of Oil though.

That's where I keep my fire extinguiser but it is where a first aid kit is supposed to be stored.

That is where I keep my fire extinguisher too! So either I move my fire extinguisher to another place or I "try" and find another place for my first aid kit! I like my fire extinguisher where it is though, it is just a nice fit and looks good there everyone always comments on it. :D They should have made something on the other side for a first aid kit! :(

Well what do you do when you've not got the drawers :( ! Ive hunted everywhere only two places I can think of are the glovebox and the place where you can put a red triangle! I have never seen anyone with a red triangle and dont even know how it would fit in, I would like one of these to. Any ideas?

The location for the triangle is just behind the sill for the boot (don't know how else to explain it) you should be able to see a triangle embosed into the plastic sill.

Better still look for the leather strap that lifts the boot floor, it's just above/behind that :?

My first aid kit is left (held by the rubber strap)..

there's just one problem....

there are these two strings that hold the "boot-lid". They each have a weight so that the string will always hang down...

It can happen that the weight of the string somehow gets caught/stuck in the rubber strap. Next time you open the boot the string and the weight will be torn apart :( That happened to me.... a replacement strip costs more than £3.

OK then. Just to confirm for people browsing this topic.

The strap in the boot to the left is to hold the first Aid kit, the strap under the slam panel (mine doesn't have it but I assume its a SE/Sport only thing again) is for the warning triangle.

However, I'm toying with a little idea which will mean you can put both items in the left hand side, just because I can! :)

Damn! My plan was to see if the A2 first-aid kit/warning triangle combo would fit in the l/h boot side pocket. But unfortunately the warning triangle is about 2 inches too long to fit

Shame, it would have been a great mod and only costs £20 :(
