From what I read the most reliable base engine to start with was the 150hp engine?

Good find.
Remember the 300bhp Lupo BB built a few years back?

There is also this one.
We put the 1.8T engine in this lovely little sleeper.
This was the first conversion to be completed since I started work here.
I am amazed at the quality of work that comes out of the garage with these conversions.
The Felicia Fun is new on the web site and that is worth a check out too.

When is this 9n3 GTI coming out, I was told November, then January, Whats the hold up!!! I dont plan to buy a gti model, im going to stick with my 9n3, and drop a S3 lump in instead. With the gti having the 1.8 turbo in it as standard, just take the bits needed from the gti I.E, the mounts, box and drive shafts, then the S3 lump should go in a treat!! However will most likly need a custom intercooler, but thats not the end of the world!!

I dont think its using the same engine as the S3
I think its using the Golf 1.8T engine.

Your still going to need to replace the loom, ecu etc so the expencive and tricky bits are still to be done.

Engine mounts and drive shafts are the easy bits!

Im well aware that the new polo gti comes with the 150bhp golf 1.8 turbo engine. When I say im going to put the S3 lump in, that would also include the ecu and loom, of course i'd make sure that it comes with the ecu and clocks and wiring loom, and change them when i did the convesion.

My point Im trying to make is, an S3 uses diffrent mounts than the Golf 150hp engine.

Soooooo, how much money are we talking for these kind of modifications. Me thinks its gonna be a tad expensive.

Would be nice to see the look on people faces though, when they get whooped by a Polo!

Polo GTi

Head guy at my local dealer, good friend has just ordered the Demonstator and it will be coming in around April time shortly before the release around April/May sort of time. No exact date yet, but I've already got a test drive booked.

Well it shouldn't be long now! Hes ordered a Red 3dr GTi in for the demonstrator. Hopefully he will bring it home for a bit, and il have a longer drive around.
