Has the window washer line snapped and leaked onto the pump ??

If so yes the pump will knacker out - quite a common problem on polos ive heard - check and see if the rear washer jet works - if not prob the line is leaking !!

i had this problem with the rear washer
there is times it just pops of and the water just pups out

the only damage i had was a slighty wet boot sensor, were the light on the dash for the boot cam on for a few days

Righty-o Haynes manual time !!

Fault finding page REF.19

Central Locking system inoperative or unsatisfactory in operation

Complete system failure
Blown Fuse
Faulty Relay
Broken or disconnected wiring or connections
Faulty Bi-pressure pump
Latch locks but will not unlock, or unlocks but will not lock
Broken or disconnected latch opersting rods or levers
Faulty Relay
Faulty bi-pressure pump

I wont bother with the rest coz it dont sound like it applies !

basically from that i would say Check the fuse is not blown !!

Check wiring around the locks, or where the water damage is !

Check the relays

and lastly the obvious one check the pump for damage or signs or fault

any help needed i can check the good ol haynes manual for ya on ways to fix or remove !!

HTH

water got on my boot lock when my water pipe split and the central locking motor got wet and locked shut

just dried it off and gave it an oil, worked it in turning the key loads of times

works fine now

yeah mine locked today, i got stuck outside the car and my friend got stuck inside. (door pins were held down)

turned the key as much as it would go and the windows came down (door pins stayed locked) and i jumped in, then drove around the corner and i could pull up the door pin suddenly.

the boot doesn't open at all nor does the petrol flap!

i duno how to take off the blue wire running to the central locking pump!?!

HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP :(
