yeah definantly a 1, the block above the 1 is just part of the pattern that then follows down...i'm pretty sure

Yeah definately a '1'.

The material is a bit of a bugger to keep looking clean. Same with red door cards.

just wondering - apart from the trim are the gti seats bigger or better in any way than the normal mk5 ones ??

Pretty sure they're exactly the same, Ben (Polopowah) has GTi seats in his MK5

And it's deffinately 100% a 1 :lol:

better in the way that the seats hug you in more, not sure on the size differences if there are any

yeah i dont have fu*k all support on mine at the mo and im not sure on buckets or cobras or whatever :)

Well one reason is probably that in the Polo range, the GTi is No1 as there isn't another model MK5 higher up in the range.

Another reason as somebody has already stated

But it's there in the picture, that's all the evidence you need.

The only way to get closure is to ask the VW interior designers that made it.

well, i have seen that design on a MK3 golf GTI interior, and i am pretty sure that the MK1 golf had a 'number 1' theme going on.

The only reason i can think of is that VW wanted to continue the theme in the first polo GTI??

That's my opinion on the subject, i could be wrong?
