Okies, some piccys...

Image
First coat of primer, before having to bang a big high spot out with a hammer and start all over.

Finished side, just needs painting

Image
Finished bumper, needs a good thick coat of primer then flat to check for inperfections

Finished tailgate. Looks a bit lupo like for some reason

Next weekend, side skirts, then if i have time gonna 2pac prime both bumpers and my new wing. Gonna spray everything thats primed in the standard black magic to ensure the new colour has a deeper gloss.

Also, forgot to mention, if you ever delock the tailgate the handle itself is a right b*stard to remove. Wiring in a solenoid is p*ss easy if you've removed the wiper. Literally took me 3minutes and now the boot pops when i hit the rear wiper switch.

definitely coming along nicely - very good work for someone with no professional body-shop knowledge!

looking forward to the finished article.

it appears to be coming along nicely - good luck with it. I'm sure it will look amazing when it's finished. It looks like a lot of hard work and graft has gone into it - fair play.

Cheers guys.

Sorry chris, i wont help you see a black smoothy, as it aint gonna be black! Although i will be spraying the primer over in black before the new colour so i'll take some pics for you, though it wont be glossy!

Did a little trimming on the skirts today, its surprising how much bigger an ibiza is than a polo!

With any luck they'll be on saturday so i can prime half the car sunday

Don't think i will reveal that just yet. Should be sprayed in a few weeks hopefully. Decided on the colour a few months or so ago but since have seen one modern vw in what appears to be it and it was stunning.

Did a wee more to the skirts today. Should be on saturday. Will update with more pics when they're fitted. The rest of the bodywork is complete now, just needs a blow over in primer. Cant wait to get the new colour on though!
