RWD v6 beast anyone?
Change the wheels??? You crazy, clean them maybe. There's nout wrong with borbet bs's!
The colour looks pretty manky in the pics. In reality its a lot bluer and less browny. Its a very different colour, granted, but defo looks nice. Trust me. I'll show you all at e38 next year!
I havent done the door/boot shuts and inside bonnet yet, tis a job for another weekend. Problem is its so cold now the paint takes a couple days to dry properly.

Looks great mate! I keep checking this thread for updates!!
I am sure what ever you do it will turn out ace!
But if you after rims, pm me

I agree, a nice set of split rims would set that off, maybe even colour code the centres, or black centres - that would tie into the roof. Baseball TT seats would look good too! (That is just my opinion of course!)ModifiedMadness wrote:One thing you need to do though is change the wheels

Ok, so looks like i'll be extending the arches afterall, i've just discovered they now do Borbet BS's in 9x15, so gonna stick the 8's on the front and put some 9's on the back. Time to get ready for some serious arch work!
On another note, still havent flatted and buffed the paint. Tested a small area and came up real nice though. Got lots of colour coding (in black) to do, pillars, door handles etc. Will keep you updated!

@ Matt, The quick steel appears fine at the moment, i am redoing the tailgate though as the plate in the handle recess wasnt secure enough and the filler has cracked. Lots more weld this time i think. I'll prob rip all the quick steel out and Weld a plate there too.
@ jordan, I'm bored of chavvy colours, my cabby was flip paint and now is a more subtle pearl/candy affair, i wanted something that stood out but was really simple. Its definately that!
As stated before, the colour is nothing like that of that in the pics. Its a lot bluer and a hell of a lot nicer. You'll all see at e38.
Hope to get 9j rims this month, am gonna weld mk4 golf front arches on the back and incorporate the sides of the front bumper into the rear so it all mates up and looks standard. Will be hard work but should look awesome.
Spending today flatting back and polishing, shall take some more pics when its finished.

Only flatted back a few panels so far, bonnet, both wings and a rear quarter.
Before flatting pics:

Some close ups on a flatted quarter panel. Cos the phone uses autofocus couldnt get a pic without it focusing on the reflection! You get the idea though.

Not sure on the mk4 golf arches yet, may just use 6n2 front arches on the back, shall have to see which fits best.
