The GTi so far...Now with Bathursts

Post by olop_chris »

Okay doke...well just thought i'd shed some update on my car so far over the past few months.

Well the aero "flat blade" wipers are on, as found by Tom, and they are excellent!

Also attacked the camber adjustment mission on sunday:

As you can see this is where you take the old bolt out, you also have to loosen the lower strut bolt to get it out!

Image
This is a picture of the new bolt in the strut, there is a slight raised bump in the middle of the bolt, that allows the camber to adjust positive or negative to about 3 degrees. (Cambers not fully straight yet, its booked in thursday morning to get both wheels straight and flat.

Also purchased a set of Lupo GTi wheels today, that i'll be collecting this week sometime! and will look like the photoshop :)

What suspension do you have fitted? I have the lupo Gti wheels fitted to my black Polo GTI and they look very nice and drives lovely with the wider tyres!

Looking good Chris.

Always fancied Bathurst alloys from the Lupo but have found them very hard to come by. I take it that RXII refurb project is in the pipeline over winter.

I shall deffo be ordering some of those wipers too me thinks. Mine are absolutely buggered

Nope, before i bought my car early this year, the previous owner had them refurbished not long before! So they are still in really good condition....The question now is, do i sell the RXII and refurb the Bathursts or keep them both.

Ill no doubt keep them on until winter clears up, then have a good think about it then.
