Boot vibrations

Post by tornado_ally »

I have noticed that when I turn my Base tube on the a very annoying high frequency rattling is given off on every "drop" of the base. It isn't a terribly "iced out" system with only a 600 watt peak but the boot does make a terible sound because of it. However if I take time out to tune the frequency and volume the vibrations stop. When I got my car back from the garage the dials had been fiddled with so i didn't bother to re-tune it but surely there must be a way to stop the vibrating all together.
Has anyone ever had this problem and know how it can be solved.

Thanks
Ally

You need to get yourself some sound deadening, top stuff like dynamat is excellent at gettin rid of rattles, you could do your whole boot with it or just a smaller area around where your bass tube is installed. its easy to install, ive just put it around my components in the front doors and it wasn't 2 difficult, should be even easier in the boot. you just heat it up with a heat gun and stick it to your panels.
