If your is petrol then you should easily be able to pull off the weather cap behind the main beam light and there is a clip holding the bulb in which can be fiddly but you just have to be patient
- Take off the rubber weather cap.
- There is a plastic ring that surrounds that bulb, twist that and it will 'click'.
- Pull out bulb with the wiring out.
- Exchange bulbs
- Repeat the above in reverse.
when i gt the bulb out with the wiring (after doing the twist unlock) the bulbs seem pretty stiff, do i just need to pull hard (am scared about breaking them)
Also how does one remove and replace the sidelight bulbs?
the inner most weather cap has to be removed, and then the bulb is up a bit inside it, i find the best way is to watch which bulb is fidgeting from the outside of the light casing.
Trying to remove the sidelights, i am presuming that the little nibbler on the top left of the lighting array is what i am after, before i break my car and the vw dealer gets to rub their hands in glee can anyone sugest how to get it out (twist, twist and pull, just pull??)
cheers guys, worked perfectly, although kerb side was really fiddly. Did the switch, now have philips powerblue bulbs in the car, don't look that blue though??
