It total brings back memories for me. Getting drunk in my mates flat in the summer of 2005 singing the lyrics to Radio/Video  We went to see them at Download Festival.

Bands I hate that everyone likes include The Killers and Arctic Monkeys. Luckily there are some great indie/rock bands that have come out recently like Bloc Party & Maximo Park (though their second albums aren't as good as their first)

I still need to give them both a good listen, but I agree with that. Lets hope they don't rush the next albums and improve again.

@CymruPolo- I can see your point and i definitely agree with the bit about pop a bad label rather then a good one. Christ look at the bands that took that label before now. The beatles? Pink Floyd, the rolling stones!! Amazing bands and musicians.

Now with oasis id agree that vocally and lyrically they are very kool, but musically. I dunno, maybe im just not putting my ear ot them enough, Ill be the first to admit i haven't listened to much past their singles. And their early singles at that.

@Mouse_GTI- ay me and my mates werent the only one! But the best song for being drunk and living room moshing was most definitely "america" by rammstein heh heh. that or blind by Korn. But thats just common sense isnt it :P

@Redline- "But so many people like them on Myspace, surely they can't be pants...." hahahaha. Legend. But so very sadly true. Popularity doesnt mean a bands good. It means they make music everyone knows and loves under different advertising. Three note songs all the way. Crafty devils...

I don't understand bittorrents
Same here dont really understand torrents, just stick on on over night and usually by morning its done. Also Lemeph I found that with limewire, it just died one day and it doesnt connect. I find if its going to work for me it will be in the mornings, and my reckoning is that it stops working in the afternoon because the americans come on and they get priority of it. Also just thought Id mention that although Im not to taken on the "best album of all time title" I will admit to listening to alot of SOAD back in the day, some good tunes on toxicity which every now and then find their way back into my car.

Best album of ALL time?

and the responses list most that are less than ten years old. I think the title should be changed to "best album in your lifetime", as people don't seem to be looking outside their comfort zones.

I would have thought people generally like music they are comfortable with?

I love 60s and 70s and i was born in the 80s (got love for me?.......sorry) . A good bit of Ray Charles or the beatles (duh)...

Infact the music I'm least comfortable is lyricless raving techno stuff that i honestly dont even know what to call. you know the stuff....doosh doosh doosh bowwww eeeeeeek doosh doosh... and that was pretty damn popular when i was in my teens (at my school anyway, if only id gone to southdartmoor...) and it scares the sh1te out of me! That and murder rap of course.

Also cant beat a bit of bb king blues and some saxy jazz, love it.
