I'd just to say one thing before going on about my new bits on the Rocco:

I love this car

It feels so right driving it. It has the torquey 1.8 litre engine, which produces all the power I could ever need. It sounds sexual when you get past 3k rpm in 3rd gear, and it has so much pull. It handles sublimely, I've yet to discover its limits, but it has a lot of grip. I can't imagine how it will handle when I put the suspension kit and strut braces. Alright, it has its foibles, such as the brakes and the headlights, which have slightly less lighting power than a candle. But I love it, it feels great to drive now, since I've gotten used to driving it and it's great, in fact it's hard to find a superlative to describe it.

Moving on from my gushing love story to the Rocco, I've done some new mods :D

To alleviate the headlight problem, I've fitted a set of Philips Silver Vision bulbs, which are much brighter than the standard bulbs. I have a set of LED sidelights on order, and I've unplugged the dim-dip unit, as it was unnecessary.

I fitted a new head unit, the Alpine CDE-9881R, with iPod integration. It looks nice, and the sounds have been greatly improved. A picture of it is below:

For my 21st birthday I got a Momo steering wheel and boss. Nice and leathery :D

And an overall look of the interior:

I still love the seats :D

Still got the RA's on, and I'll be keeping them on regardless of snow, salt, rain, sun or ice 8)

The Polo's almost ready to be sold. All it needs is a clean and some hubcaps :D

I still have those spacers Doug! I think they're in my room, I'll check later. You wanted a pair for the rear of the Vento, right?

I've got an H&R Cup Kit all ordered for it, for a very good price :D

Lowers 60/40, like the Mk1/2/3 Polo ones, which is the ideal drop for me.

Keep tuned for more updates :D

I guess it's no further than going up Northampton way for a show. It looks like it'll be a worthwhile show to go to. I think I could manage an hour and a half, I managed to do the trip from Farnham to my place last night in less than an hour!

I may even check if the Scirocco Register have a place on their stand 8)
