VAG-COM

Post by Scorpio1 »

VAG-COM my new flavour of the month!

Can I add cruise control to my car? I know I need a new stalk and to 'switch' it on, but will I need additional wiring and will the light on the dash work?

Also I think VAG-COM can program the low washer fluid light to come on from what I understand.

I was really suprised that on such a car that they never included a washer fluid low light..

there have been soooo many times where I couldn't clean my windows cause the fluid *just* ran out :(

Maybe if the light exists on our clusters it can be turned on? But I forgot it may not be connected at the washer bottle end

That's if a bulb is in there! Simple thing but great none the less.

You can turn on the crise control funtion, but fitting it to the polo will be as hard as it is to the fabia, which is why no-one on briskoda that diddnot have it fitted at tthe factory has it yet (me included). It is not worth trying to turn on the low level light as if the washer bottles capacity was big enough it would already have the sensor and function alredy enabled.

What makes it hard? Is it the removal of the steering wheel? DBW cars should have the wiring I think.. Well from what I understand.

I will give the low washer light a go, I have the winter pack so maybe its there IE the 5 litre capacity bigger bottle? Hope so anyway, if it’s not then.. damn!

it's the fitting of the wiring due to space IIRC. everything else is fairly simple. Any drilling holes voids the warrenty, even if it is done by a dealer so that is what they are trying to get around at the moment.
