I have done a little bit of work since i got the polo,

Old style plates

New German Style Plates 8)

The previous owners decided it would be fun to play around with the badges on the back and they had stretched out the word polo and positioned it under the vw badge, then they moved the GTI badge to underneath the light cluster but also managed to lose the letter T.

I hadnt had the car for a day before i pulled all the badges off as they looked real poor.

I then decided that due to all the "boy racers" in their rover bubbles, etc trying to race me all the time that i would get a new GTI badge in the hope that they might not bother next time

I decided at lunch time to put some v-dub stickers on that i got from dubfreeze:

The wheels that came on the polo were pretty badly abused and un-cared for, they looked like this:

We tried to salvage them but decided against it as the width and profile of the tyres caused the car to "rub" whenever i carried passengers.

The only logical solution was to get some new Lenso BSX wheels 8)

I will get some better photos up of the rims when i get a chance, that one was taken on the g/f's phone.

What do you guys reckon, is it looking any better ?

I plan to de-lock the handles, get a double din dvd screen in the dash, new exhaust, coilovers, re-tint the windows, full ICE install and thats just for starters

Just need to start saving like mad as i am skint this month now.

The wheels and tyres should have been £575 but they gave me £250 trade in on my old wheels, so i basically got the wheels, Avon tyres, chrome valves, chrome valve caps, locking wheel nuts with 2 keys and a locking wheel nut keyring thing to hold the locking wheel nut key for £325 and the battered old wheels.

I was happy :D

The only thing the wheel shop chap said to me was that i wasnt to tell anyone where i got them from as Lenso is his competitor and he only got them for me because i have bought 5 sets of wheels from him in the last 4 years and he didnt have anything to suit the polo :?

Strangely enough, when i bought the car i couldnt take it past 70 for real bad vibrations through the steering wheel, despite having wheel alignment, balancing and tracking done. I dont have any vibrations at all now, so i think that one of the old wheels was buckled slightly.

Even happier now there are no vibrations
