Just remembered something: that converter basically changes your radio's FM frequency range, but won't change the way the unit scans the frequencies.
As the site probably explains, Japan uses a different FM range than the rest of the world (as usual).
I do know that some stereos have a choice of 9 or 10KHz increments for MW tunning, not sure about FM though.
'Course, if the thing can be tunned by the 0.01MHz then that's not really a problem I suppose.
