Am not keen on them, Makes the front look odd as if the badge is missing if ur lookin from a distance!? Would look better if the inside was painted the same colour as ur car and maybe round the outline of the VW

If its anything like the mark5 badge. You just:

Remove the badge with a hairdryer and pulling it

Remove the glue points on the back of the badge using something like a stanley knife.
The front will then seperate from the back.

Spray back of the badge

Re-attach front and back using a glue gun

re-attach badge to car using trim repair from Halfords

I took the badge out then covered it with matt black vinyl. Pulling it tight so there are no bubbles.

I used vinyl because its cost $10 for a square meter so thats about 4 squid for you Poms. If I didn't like it I could just peal it off and have the chrome back again. Where if you paint it your stuck with it.

The rear badge is another matter :(
