I've gone for a totally OEM/OEM+ look. Basically modding it, but subtly and using part from other VAG cars
First off......here is a pic of my Polo a few days after purchasing it....

Let the transformation begin
First mod was the Polo GTi honeycomb grille

Then German style pressed plates

I decided to replace the gear gaitor as it was very worn and looked really tatty. I decided to get a black leather with red stitching made up especially.

Then it was time to get a smaller ariel......as the original one was about 30ft long. Nothing special, just a cheap one from ebay with a tip that was almost the same colour as the car lol

I thought id get some chrome valve caps and sleeves just to improve the looks on the wheels for now.

Then i removed my rear wiper and took the AWFUL quicksilver sticker off the back. These two mods have by far been the most influencial on the car. They improve the look so much

After

This was pretty much everything i done in the first month of owning the car, i then passed my test exactly a month after purchase. I had a HUGE set back at the end of Febuary. I split up with my long term girlfriend, and the day after i lost control of the polo and hit a kerb.
I bent alot of the suspension and other parts of the car in the impact. The drive shaft ripped through my gearbox.....thus ruining that!
After a 2k repair bill the Polo was like new. This really put me off modding my car and again, didnt do any mods until about 2 months later.
First on the list was colour coding the rear badge.
The background is "crappy black plastic" as i call it. So i decided to take the rear badge off, take it apart and sand down the background, primer it, paint it and then lacquer it.
thus colour coding it for a more OEM look
