We recommend the 007P for Polo applications, if you have an open intake i.e. not the stock airbox, then you will probably hear the 'pssshh' on gearchanges, but dont hold me to that. The Split-R works well on some cars and not on others, which is why i recommend the 007P above it.

I have my 007p fitted in reverse and it sounds great, you hear the psst more and also get the chirp from the piston slamming shut. You only really hear the chirp prior to remap but post remap you hear a lot more cool stuff

how do you fit it in reverse, and what will the benifits be for doing so, if any?

titan619 - they are so easy to fit yourself - the Polo GTI usually has reusable clips so no need for hunting for jubilees..

5 minute job for 007p

Supplied/fitted spring is fine for stage 1 boost of 1.1-1.2 bar... like in the Polo.

Other Vag cars like some S3 1.8T and TT 225 run 1.5bar+ on stage 1 so can make use of a stronger spring.

I needed to sell my 007p to a customer so put the standard bosch item back.. still working fine even at 1.4/1.5 bar boost...

sometimes is a case of try it and see how it goes... after all it takes on seconds to swap the spring over.

the spring doesnt hold the valve shut, it determains how hard it is for the valve to open with vacuum , and how fast it shuts again, as equal boost is on each side of the piston on boost it cant open, read once a guy tested both racing spring and normal and showed no real gains or differences! If your that bothered dont bother with a new spring set slap a couple of washers in!
