It's always going to be faster than a standard GTi, end of really!

Obviously it wouldn't be as standard, but it doesn't take much to get huge power out of a 40 lump!

G40 lump has got same amount of torque as the GTI, in standard form. Which amounts to good useable power, plus the tax bonus of a pre-2001 sub-1.4 motor & it goes in favour of a tuned G40. 8)

I don't think you do...the car started life as a 1.6 GTI but he decided to do what others said couldn't be done, fit the the G40 lump..
It's not till you see the car in person and see how much work has gone into it.. really nice conversion.
