de-cat advice.
Hi there mate stu here take the cat out and measure the lenghth. next get ur self a bit of exhaust pipe cut it to the length needed then take the pipe an cat to a fabricators an get them to transfer the flanges and lambda sensor mount to the pipe an uv got ur self a de-cat pipe. im a fabricator by trade an thats how i built mine cos dont think u can buy them. hope this helps mate.
you could just get a pipe, sleeves and clamps. So basically replace the cat with a pipe fitted securely by sleeves and clamps at both ends. You might not even need two sleeves, as from buying an exhaust recently the part that links the exhaust pipe and cat doesn't require a sleeve, just a clamp as the exhaust has a slightly bigger diameter into which the cat slides into directly and clamps.
So do some measuring
Locally I got a VW spare place which is brilliant, as I will be doing something similar to link 4-2-1 manifolds to the cat and it shouldn't cost me more than £5-10 to get the sleeve and clamp.
EDIT: advantage of sleeves is you can get them to act as down-sizing adapters as well, in case you plan on getting bigger exhaust system making it flexible.
