Think ages ago I saw Vanom motorsports selling sports cats and de-cats. Not sure if they still do or if the sensor attachments etc are already on the pipe.

you could just get a pipe, sleeves and clamps. So basically replace the cat with a pipe fitted securely by sleeves and clamps at both ends. You might not even need two sleeves, as from buying an exhaust recently the part that links the exhaust pipe and cat doesn't require a sleeve, just a clamp as the exhaust has a slightly bigger diameter into which the cat slides into directly and clamps.

So do some measuring :) Locally I got a VW spare place which is brilliant, as I will be doing something similar to link 4-2-1 manifolds to the cat and it shouldn't cost me more than £5-10 to get the sleeve and clamp.

EDIT: advantage of sleeves is you can get them to act as down-sizing adapters as well, in case you plan on getting bigger exhaust system making it flexible.
