You could go completly nuts and just build a complete space frame?? less mucking around trying 2 get bits 2 fit?

Wow... those are awsome chears :) If you have any more....naturally they would be much appreciated!

The 6R4 layout would be awsome... but finding a gearbox and engine that turn the right direction etc would be an absolute mission and expensive.... that and the fact that the 6R4 was renowned for being impossible to work on!


The rear subframe diff arangement of that blue polo is much how I was imagining doing mine...

Im just not sure if front engine with RWD is the way to go... or simply go mid engine (proberably using a transverse engine from a golf)....

Gives you RWD and better weight distribution...


Having said that..keeping the engine at the front would give you much more space for turbo/supercharger etc...



Argh...choices... at the end of the day its going to come down to what is cheapest and achievable within 6-12 months of working on it....if projects drag on for more than that I loose interst....


Oh and the s1600 suspension :shock: Bit heath robinson.... Needs some proper unequal length A arms Im thinking!

dude small world i was in afan about the same time as you buy the looks of things!
plus the urbian exploring! you look a bit more hard core than us but cane hill is ten mins from my house! (still your pics are amazing!)

Afan forrest was pretty good....although the routes we did were a bit underwhelming... Coed-Y-Brenin is far better... If your ever up this way again...let me know!

Yer sadly they started knocking it down begining of this year!
was a very cool place though! infact my house is built on warlingham park hospital, cane hills sister site!
yes mate will deff be back down your way on the bikes as soon as the weather improves! (saying that last time we went there it dint stop raining all weekend!)
