Quality project..
Would love to know what gearbox mods (if any) he is doing...
And also... why on earth he has removed the ABS.... Mentalist!

Re: Home Built Turbo GTI Lupo/Arosa.
Its a standard 6 Speed Lupo GTI gearbox, hes going to run it like that until it breaks/has the cash to upgrade ittegwin wrote:Would love to know what gearbox mods (if any) he is doing...
I dont have ABS on mine eithertegwin wrote:And also... why on earth he has removed the ABS.... Mentalist!
Reason is the car is a 1.0 mk1 Seat Arosa so didn't come with ABS, no point in retro fitting it its just extra weight and complication lol
Re: Home Built Turbo GTI Lupo/Arosa.
Its gonna be low to start with, he has a spare engine which he'll be rebuilding using forged internals once the monies allow (he has another secret project on the go as welltomo87 wrote:this looks like a lot of fun, what sort of power output?
I think its all guess work at the minute though, as no one (as far as I know) has taken this route yet.
The Turbo is a prototype Porka unit, which was fitted to a factory track car.
The rebuild of that unit was a bit of a nightmare apparently as it was basicly a rebuild of two Turbos.
